A system for automatically providing real-time weather and other pertinent information about Merapi Mountain Activities to base station (at Instrumentation and Telecontrol Laboratory - Engineering Physics UGM). The system can operate continuously or the operator can utilize his radio equipment to activate the information transmitter.
Instantaneous weather information and Merapi data's such as seismic activities, environment temperature, air humidity, wind speed and direction, level and water flow, are supplied to a microcomputer which determines the real-time values as an average over a predetermined time period. The microcomputer then responds to the activating signal from the base station or operates continuously to selectively address the stored messages corresponding to the real-time information for transmission to the base station.
